At Spatial Sound Dynamics Lab (SSDL), our mission is to advance how people experience and interact with sound in complex, real-world settings. We create ultra-realistic, spatially accurate 3D soundscapes that enhance outcomes across healthcare, training, simulation, and other high-impact fields.

 

Our interdisciplinary team of field specialists, sound designers, engineers, and researchers collaborates to capture and recreate soundscapes that reflect the complexity of real-world auditory environments and object dynamics. These environments support a wide range of applications—including patient care, rehabilitation, training, operational simulation, and human-centered design.

 

Beyond simulation, we work with experts in psychoacoustics, neuroscience, and human-computer interaction.
